Huge beige head, irregular, over reddish dark brown beer. Caramel, roasted, dry hopbales, aromatic hops, and charcoal. Very dry, again roasted/charcoal, hops, Hessian hopsacks. Well-carbonated, slick, medium bodied. Another very good Bendorf product. A place to visit, I reckon.

@ La Fine Mousse. Black color with a creamy light beige head with medium duration. Aroma has notes of roasted malta, resin hops and slightly citrus. Flavor has a decent bitterness with roasty mouthfeel, licorice and light coffee beans. Mild bitterness in the final with medium duration.

Bottle at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Colin. Pale nut brown coloured pour with a halo of sticky cream coloured head. Aroma is funky dirty grains, plastic, pine needle, some hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of nutty grains with a little roast, plastic, tangy pine. Dryish is the finish. Palate is light, moderate to low carbonation, ok.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Sunday 29th March 2015 Black on the pour, soft in the mouth, filmy off white head. A little ashy in mouth. Fruity with a reasonable blast of citrus. As BIPAs go this is good rather than great, I like it but could have been a bit hoppier. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle. Black with creamy mocca head. Lots of coffee at first, dry cocoa powder, aromatic hops with lime and pine resin, flowers, sugared grapefruit, light mango too. Some dough, brown bread and a light underlying sweetness. Mostly bitter throughout though. Slightly watery feel, otherwise quite nice feel. Good use of hops here!
