Luvanium Cuyt is inspired by the Cuyt beer that was first brewed in Leuven around 1440. It would become the main beer of Leuven residents for centuries. It is a cloudy, white, refreshing, spicy beer brewed with 45% oats, traditional floor malt, raw wheat and Belgian hops. This unfiltered top-fermented beer is refermented in the bottle and has an alcohol content of 6.5% vol.

Sampled at Zythos 2016. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smelll is bit spiced. Taste is very sharp, bitter, some spices. bit thin, high carbo.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is phenolic and slight estery. Fruity, mellow. Mild estery. Slight herbal and dry. Bitter and herbal finish.

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. Dorée paille, col fin blanc. Arôme est assez typique belge, sur un rétro malt pils/froment, noble pour les houblons. Palais est finement amer avec une petite douceur un peu agressive rappelant la lavande, sucre résiduel, un grains conséquent ressort, froment? pour effervescence moyenne haute, et une fin noble houblonnée type Saaz, Haller.

Trübes hell gelbes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig süß, bananig, Gewürze. Geschmack bananig, Kräuter, hefig.

Sampled @ ZBF 2016. (Thank you for sharing RB people!) Hazy citrus, no head. Nose is oily yeast, vegetable banana & sugar. Taste is oily vegetable, chemical, banana, bitter, other grains,… Oily chemical body. Concept sounds interesting but the taste, usrely this cannot be right. I was ready for bland, sweet etc. I found this to be very unpleasant, odd coming from the Anders! stable.

Clear pale yellow beer, no head. Aroma: sweet, fruity, peaches, pineapple. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, little bitter, sourish, lemony, some raspberries. Aftertaste: more fruity flavours, bit hoppy. little sour. Unlike the others, I quite liked this one...
