23/04/2016 sample glass shared with the Belgian Ratebeercrew @ZBF2016. Murky brown with sticky white foam. Nose has a lot of peat, dark malts, caramel. Taste is thick at first, some peat, malts, some chocolate, dry ending. Nice one!

Brown color with beige head. Aroma is dark malts, a bit coffee and cocoa powder. Taste is bitter chocolate, a bit coffee, a bit of a rye spiciness. Medium carbonation. Rather dry. Sweet is different. Still a fine brew.

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew.

Sampled draft @ ZBF 2016. (Thank you for sharing RB people!) Dark brown, little tanned mocha head. Nose is mellow mocha, very powdery much like this other porter beers with mild complimentary peat, sweetish plastic, some cacao. Taste is mellow cacao, peat is low & complimentary, tad thicker than some of this other beers, bit thin but still very powdery, low complimentary peat and some vanilla, hazel. Not perfect but nice for sure, peat is integrated very well.

23/IV/16 - tap @ Zythos Bierfestival 2016 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2016-391) Thanks to the BE RB crew for sharing beers today!

Clear red brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very smoky, some urinal, bit dirty, weird. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very peated start, bit sweet, dried fruits, caramel, smoky. Aftertaste: hoppy bitterness, sourish, roasted malts, peat. Ok beer, tastes much better than it smells.
