23/02/2016 – sample glass @ZBF2016 – thans to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing. Clear brown with sticky foam. Nose is caramel malts. Taste is some roast, some milkchocolate, bitter, wood is hard to detect.

Sampled at Zythos 2016. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours dark brown, ok white head. Smell is bit roasted, not so intense. Taste is sharp, bitter, verry roasty, not very woody though.

Mild malziger Antrunk, die Fasslagerung hat hier am wenigsten gute Arbeit geleistet. Spritzig, etwas Alkohol. 7/9/9/9//9

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. Brune foncée, beige. Arôme au nez malté, fin grillé en rétro et léger boisé qui reste encore assez discret du cerisier. Palais est malté grillé, léger boisé avec une sorte de fin douceur du bois de cerisier. Le tout présente un peu de sucre résiduel, et pointe de chocolaté amer en fin de bouche. Pas mauvaise mais reste à savoir exactement l’état du bois et comment il aura été ajouté au brassin.

Brown color with tan head. Aroma is roasted, ashes, slightly woody. Taste is roasted, hints of caramel. Low carbonation. Good.

From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish, wooden. Toasted, breadish, roadted and dark malty. Bitter and roasted finish.

Sampled draft @ ZBF 2016. (Thank you for sharing RB people!) Darkest of the series, blackish dark brown, biggest solid tanned head. Nose is very muted, only faintly herbal, low soy sauce & some cacao. Taste is a bit neutral umami, herbal, licorice, almost faint mint, licorice, herbal, getting only a little bit of oak if I try to pick it up, low fruity qualities. Small touch thin fizzy herbal & licorice body. Overall not bad. Nice / decent beer.

Fast klare dunkel orange braune Farbe, mittelgroße weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, leicht holzig, Karamell, rote Früchte. Geschmack mild röstmalzig, karamellig, Kaffee. Gut.

Clear hazelnut brown to purple beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, fruity notes, sweet malts, caramel, some vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, caramel malts, little sweet, some milk chocolate, little sourish, spicy. Aftertaste: bit metallic, very bitter, dry, very hoppy and bitter. Weird, how this one seems way more bitter, especially since I drank this one last.
