Hazy brown with thin head. Aroma has light smoke and roasted malts. Flavour is bittersweet. Dry and bitter on the palate.

Sampled at Zythos 2016. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours dark brown to black, small white head. Smell is weak, taste is sharp, bitter, full. Some cedar aspects, but only very mildly. NIce

Sample @ Zythos’16, courtesy of and shared with the RB Belgian crew. Brune foncée, col fin blanc cassé. Arôme au nez malté, caramel, pointe de fumé avec ce bouquet assez typique de cèdre rappelant un peu une boite de cigare. Palais est malté, grillé, sécheresse persistante venant du cèdre et surtout ce côté épicé typique de ce bois. Retrouve une fine pointe de fumé pour un sécheresse de bouche persistante et un côté belge plaisant. Comme quoi, Cigar City fait des émules. La meilleure des 3 versions.

Brown color with beige head. Aroma is wood, roasted malt, oxidized. Taste is roasted, ashes, slightly oxidized, wood. Bitter finish. Low carbonation.

From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is wooden, caramelish. Wooden, dark malty, caramelish. Dry and toasted malty, breadish and wooden. Caramelish finish.

Malzig röstiger, intensiv bitterer Antrunk. Würzig hopfig, holzig sehr trocken. Süffig, gut. 9/9/10/10//10

Fast klare dunkel orange braune Farbe, geringe beige Schaumkrone. Geruch schokoladig, reifes dunkles Obst. Geschmack sehr floral röstmalzig bitter, interessant.

Sampled @ ZBF 2016. (Thank you for sharing RB people!) This one was my favorite from the series. Dark amber brown wood coloured beer with a tanned head. Nose is oily sweet umami, roast, game, gravy, grainy but less umami than the other ones in the BA series. Taste is least umami of these, cacao, sugar, tad empty, low umami, sweet wood but not really cedar, touch honey. Low cacao body, pleasant, sweet, most cacao / brown sugar sweet of the BA series. Getting some sweet oak but not really cedar, could have used more real in your face cedar from me since I love cedar but overall a nice beer.

Clear hazelnut brown to purple beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: spicy, dry, liquorish, cinnamon, bit sweet, caramel, bit earthy, smoky touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, caramel, mocha, some chocolate, pretty bitter, sourish touch. Aftertaste: coffee, very bitter and hoppy, chocolate, smoky touch, roasted, some charcoal.
