500 ml. bottle sampled @ Beerstorming. Shared cost. BBF 16.07.16. Surprisingly decent beer / stout considering the beer & ABV even despite the artificial chocolate etc. notes. Black, creamy mocha tanned head. Nose is creamy plastic mocha, sugar, artificial chocolate spread. Taste is artificial mocha spread, sugar, candy, plastic, artificial mocha, sugar, artificial chocolate. Surprisingly solid artificial mocha body for this ABV. Artificial-like but very solid given the ABV & presumable age (2 – 3 months).

Pours black , small white head.. Smell is green leaves. Taste is Sharp, bit bitter , some roasty malts. Some green aspect. Ok.

Draft @ Beerstorming. De couleur brune foncée, présente un col blanc-cassé tenace. Arôme met l’accent sur un malté grillé qui offre de belles effluves de café, le tout accompagné par un léger caramel, petite note de fruité rouge. Rétro conserve un léger bouquet orienté grains concassé s’apparentant subtilement à la drêche mais gardant un profil axé malts. Palais est léger, alternant entre malt pâle, cara avec une belle prise de bouche qui quoique légère reste forte au niveau de la teneur café. Le tout est sec - grains, je note également un petit côté fruité rouge pour un fini offrant une pointe poussiéreuse ponctuée par une amertume houblonnée noble qui apporte juste ce qu’il faut de caractère du houblon.

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, citrus, some chocolate, bit spicy, weird smell, hard to put my finger on. MF: soft to no carbon, light body. Taste: sweet start, some weird spiciness, pretty light. Aftertaste: soft roast, bit watery, fruity, some caramel.
