Pours black, small, dark tanned head with very short lifespan. Smell is low in intensity, has a certain tart side to it, as well as a mild roast. Sharp, overall, and not as intense as hoped for. Taste is intense roasty, bitter, mild tartness, some chocolate malts, fusel alcohols, burnt malts, very sharp. Medium to medium thick body, medium high carbo. Cocoa is noticable, but not as much as hoped. This beer could benifit from less alcohol, thicker body, lower carbo, and more balance. It certainly ain't bad as it is now, tho.

Bouteille 75cl.

Thank you Sebletitje! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “Wish you were Adam Chandler” tasting. Light dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is weird vegetable umami, touch vinous oddly, quite rich in spirit. Taste is boozy, boozy whisky, lightly roasted malts, coffee grounds, oddly a bit vinous, too alcoholic, vegetable, herbal, light sweetness charred oak. Thick & boozy body. Base was a decent stout with some mild sweet coffee, cacao, it was decent, nothing crazy for an Imperial Stout. This one is too bitter, vegetable & umami like, oddly vinous & overly boozy, might have spent a bit too much time, I am not too crazy about this evolution. Glad that I didn’t buy a bottle of it, apparently this one is quite expensive as well.

4/VII/16 - 75cl bottle @ Adam Jackson Tasting Without Adam Jackson - BB: 4/II/21, bottled: II/2016 (2016-732) Thanks to Sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, irregular creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, pretty roasted, bit vegetal. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted, little sourish, hoppy, bitter, something's "wrong", it's hard to put my finger on it though. Maybe wrong yeast type for the beer style? Aftertaste: roasted, sweet, caramel, bit vegetal.
