In another exciting collaborative effort with our neighbors at Barrington Coffee Roasters, this is a bold American stout infused with cold-brewed coffee. PM Dawn exhibits an earthy, freshly roasted coffee bean and dark chocolate/mocha nose. The flavor profile consists of vanilla, hot chocolate, and caramel along with rich espresso. With a medium to heavy body, luscious mouthfeel, and light bitterness, PM Dawn is balanced and full, smooth with a drying roast character.

Bottle from 2015. Pours clear black, large foamy tan head, creamy and slow to dissipate, nice lacing. Aroma is pretty loaded with coffee, espresso and mocha, hints of lactose, touch of ashtray. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, earthy rich espresso and cocoa. Medium plus body, soft mouthfeel. Really nice; I wonder how much better this was fresh :/

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “Mathieu’s house cooling party”. Black with a patchy mocha head. Nose is massive coffee, really big but not heavy on bitterness, some sweetness, sugar, cold coffee. Huge wonderful coffee. Taste is massive sweet coffee, every rich, sugar, some mocha sweetness, sugar, light vanilla, chocolate cake, toffee, light touch dark fruit. Huge coffee body. So much delicious coffee here, ridiculous.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes leaving scant spiders. Chocolate syrup and espresso aromas. Soft with dark chocolate and espresso upfront turning caramel and hot chocolate in the lasting finish.

5 Kay, 7.5 Kay, 10 Kay Tasting. Thanks to Leighton. Almost opaque dark brown beer, few tan bubbles for a head. Smooth light palate with modest carbonation. Mellow coffee soaked dark malts. A paint like ester is a little bothersome. Touches of dark fruits and dark chocolate. Light bitterish finish. Drinkable but lacks something for big Impy.

Bottle from the ever gracious LKS. It pours deep brown/near balck with a small tan head. The nose is toasty, earthy roast, coffee dark chocolate and a touch of sweet vanilla. The taste is bitter, rich roast, earth, coffee, light vanilla, soem warming alcohol, burnt sugar and dark chocolate with good length on the finish.Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff and Trillium’s best stout that I have had so for.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - picked up at the brewery. Pours thick black with a dense, frothy beige head. The nose holds lightly aged coffee, dry cocoa, moderate roast. Medium sweet flavor with rich bitter coffee, some earth, dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lightly warming on the finish with rich bittersweet cocoa, espresso, further burnt earth. Pretty deep. Long finish. Solid.
