Very dark brown. Aroma of dried fruits like dates an prunes. Very smooth and rich. Low carbonation. Dark sweet fruits and some liquroice in the flavour.

Pitch black with red hues. Espresso head. Light nose with mild burnt brown sugar. Taste is roast forward with a sweet finish. Very croissant like with chocolate and sugar and a touch of honey. Lots of fig and raisin

Shared with + thanks to AdamJackson & tderoeck! Sampled draft @ ‘t Schooltje as “Brownie” – same beer as “Brown Ale” according to RB. Looks quite black to me, creamy mocha head. Nose is light chocolate & chocolate syrup, dark fruit puree. Taste is thick molasses, mocha, sugary, dark fruits, chocolate sauce. Thick molasses. Not very brown ale like but very lovely.

Keg at Het Oude Schooltje, during the 3rd Zombier Anniversary, 18/10/14. As ’Brownie’. Chestnut brown wwith a moderate beige covering that retains. Nose is nutty, vanilla, caramel, light spice, sweet notes. Taste comprises nutty tones, dark malt, toffee, spice, mellow fruits, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a little cocoa rub. Decent enough stuff and higher end for style, drinks below the ABV.

Draft @ Struise Schooltje. Brune trouble, col beige disparaissant vite. Arôme offre un bouquet malté généreux mettant bien à profit le côté caramel, pâle et léger biscuité. Note aussi un rétro assez sucré.

14/VI/14 - on tap @ Struise schooltje (Oostvleteren) - BB: n/a (2014-631)
Clear red brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, fruity, caramel, dried fruits, some mocha, malty, bit sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit nutty, pretty bitter, sour notes, dried fruits, some citrus, red berries, fruity. Aftertaste: gentle bitterness, sourish, bit vinous even, sweet as well, with a nutty touch and a bit metallic.
