The traditional sour beer uses the wild yeast found around the farm. This gives the beer a soft, refreshing sour taste. After a year of aging on a barrel this beer is ready for consumption. Each batch of Zure van Tildonk is carefully aged in our cellars at the Engelburcht Monastery for several months prior to release.

Sample from bottle. Poured golden color. Tart, funky, acidic nose, barnyard. Vinegary flavor, green apples. Acidic. Interesting.

Sample from the bottle at Sture 21, Helsinki. Color is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sourness, tartness, citric elements, some vinegar, rhubarb, some berries and some twisted yeast. Weird. Salty too.

Bottle. Unclear pale orange body with a small, lacing white head. Pleasant aroma of acidic fruit, citric fruit and some malt. Flavor is moderate acidic, slightly vinous, mild malt, fruit and berries with a spicy touch. Medium body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Grågul. Uklar. Middels høyt skum som daler sakte. Aroma av syrlig frukt. Smaken veldig syrlig. Litt plommer med hint av pærer etter hvert.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has sweet light fruits with a bit of tartness, light funk and light grain backing. Flavor has sour light fruits with a slight sweetness and notes of funk and grains backing.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is oak, funk, cheese, rubber, sour fruit. Thin body, apple skin, funk, oak, cheese, nice tartness, very good.

07/2017 @home - 33 cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Clear pale yellow, with small fading head. Nose is fresh, sour, brett, lemon, spices. Taste is sour, lemon, peppery, really nice. Surprised.
