From foeder @ Mort Subite. Brewed 17-02-13. Shyish citrusaroma. Lemon flavor. Just a hint of oak, nothing more. Citrusfruit. Fresh with sulphury notes.

Pours unclear yellow. Smell is bit aceton sour. Taste is bit sharp, corny grains. Mildly sour. REally good backbone of grainyness.. Simply amazed by this one !

Small sample, straight from the foeder into a plastic cup Mort Subite brewery during Tour De Geuze 2015. Quite hazy going to murky dark orange, only a few bublles. Nose is quite cheesy with big lemon & some fruits, musty. Taste has light sweetness, tart orange, juice, cheese, quite sweetish still in a good way, funk, lemon,…. Flat, touch watery, highly delicious but as with all unblended lambiek, impressions & profile will vary probably greatly depending on batch, barrel etc.

Straight from the foeder ar Mort Subite. Clocks in at 9months. It pours lightly hazy golden-orange with a small, bubbly white head. The nose is soft, sweet, floral, grassy, must, tangerine and light lemon. The taste is smooth, fresh, tart, juicy, orange sherbet, zesty tangerine, kumquat, mild acidity, wood and light floral with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Really rather delicious. Big orange citrus fruits. A real highlight on this year’s tour de geuze!

From a hand-bottle (growler?) at the Leiderkerke Beer Festival. Pale gold, flat, lemony nose with a bit of funk. Not too interesting. Like lemonade or Earl Grey with lemon in it. Lemony flvor, simple, with the lightest of funk and some yogurt. Very sour, though. Refreshing and nice but simple. Next to the Jonge Boon, it paled.

7/IX/13 - 1L refilled water bottle @ Tuinfeest Heeren van Liedekercke - BB: n/a (2013-833) Thanks to Kris for sharing today's beers!

Clear pale orange to slightly amber beer, no head. Aroma: fruity, bit spicy, cake and cookie dough, bit sweet, notes of cherry, funny enough. Maybe matured on an old kriek cask? Also Maraschino cherries. MF: no carbon, medium to light body, nice mouth feel. Taste: citric, refreshing and lemony, very tart, bit fruity, spicy, dry. Aftertaste: tart and crisp, mouth watering, wood flavours. Really enjoyed this one.

Rerate: directly from foeder @ Mort Subite. Slight hazy yellow color, short head. Great citrus and citric acid aroma. Wonderfully soft sour and perfectly balanced. My favorite jonge lambik. Tap @ carnivale brett, masterclass from h. Ertie. Cloudy yellow color, short head. Aroma of citrus, hint of horseblanket. Sweet and sour taste, citric acid instead of lactic acid. Very nicely balanced actually. Love the citrussy refreshing character. Best young lambic ive tried. 8 - 4 - 8 - 4 - 16: 4.0

S - Peaches. Cookies dough and raisins

T - apple cider, strawberries cream and light mint. Vanilla?

M - 10% carbonation. Heavy body. Semi-dry

O - 4.2/5. Pretty good. Drinkable. Would love this as a base of a Gueuze blend.
