The traditional sour beer uses the wild yeast found around the farm. This gives the beer a soft, refreshing sour taste. After a year of aging on a barrel this beer is ready for consumption. Each batch of Zure van Tildonk is carefully aged in our cellars at the Engelburcht Monastery for several months prior to release.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy straw colour, mid sized head. Vinegary nose. Tart with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Vinegar and grass, notes of rubber. Near no bitterness. Somewhat refreshing, but lacking depth.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Modeste 2014. Murky milky orange with no head. Very weird rotting malt & wet dog nose. Taste milky, spoiled yoghurt, wet dog, spoiled milk, rotting, vinegar,… Murky milky, little carbonation. I’m sorry because Uli is a great guy & makes a lot of wonderful beers but this was just awful.
