First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Pizza Port in Solana Beach, Hop 15 was imagined and designed by Tomme Arthur and Jeff Bagby. It was to be a celebration of 15 years of "Good Beer Brings Good Cheer." So there are 15 different hop varieties that are added to the beer every 15 minutes. Over the years.

Hazy coppery color, creamy off-white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma has notes of resin hops, light caramel, orange peel and grapefruit. Flaavor with a strong bitterness, light caramelish, good maltiness, pine notes. Strong bitterness in the final, resins. Dense mouthfeel.

Can. pours unclear, warm blonde to amber. Small but stable white head. Smell is intense, piney, woody, bit grassy, strong malty backbone ( white bread, toast doesn't show ) clean fermentation profile. mild alcohol aroma. Taste is intense, piny, very woody hops. Strong malty backbone. no toast, regardless the color, more like a thick breadyness. Medium thick MF, mild alcohol notes. High on resins. Very assertive bitterness. Strong flavor intensity ! Carbonation is to the lower side of medium, which is great for this kinda beer. Presumably not extremely fresh, since it had to be imported to Belgium, but the beer is still damn good, given the high malty base.

Big and beautiful.

Can shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 20.11.17. Slightly hazy dark golden. Dense, foamy and persistent off-white head and lacing. Superb aroma and taste of American hops, marmalade, citrus, mango, papaya and lychee. Solid and fruity bitterness is lingering on.

I got this in a trade with Fishdawg71. Thanks Geoff!
It pours an amber gold with a small and fast receding head of foam. Some lacing.
The smell is hoppy with notes of grapefruit and pine. If I sniff hard enough, some caramel malt is also there.
The taste is of grapefruit and pine up front with some caramel malt peeking in as well as notes of bread. This one has a thick mouthfeel too it and I'm liking it. The carbonation is light and it finishes with both sweet malt and bitter hops to make some pretty good balance. There are other fruity flavours mid palate that I can't really identify but they're nice. The alcohol is fairly well hidden...not as well hidden as I would have liked, though.
All in all, I'm pretty fond of this DIPA and would drink it again.

Can shared@Himmeriget, Copenhagen - golden amber coloured pour with white head. Sweet fruity and malty with some great citrus fruity hits, sweet caramel malty backbone, punchy hoppy action, hoppy medium bitter into the finish.

Pours a dark amber from a bottle. Big pine and citrus aroma, similar flavor layered lovingly over a malt mattress. Pretty good beer.
