Bottle from Fermenteria: pours fairly dark brown with a small head. Aroma is earthy, cherries, vinegar, fumk. Taste is fairly sour, acidic, mushrooms are not very noticeable until the aftertaste when they shine a little more. Aftertaste is earthy and has a distinct note of fungi.

50 cl bottle @ ISKTR’18
Bpttle vintage 2014?
Aroma has vinegar, sour tones and earthy notes. Flavour is very tart with earthy tones, citrus and some malty notes. Too tart for my taste.

500 ml. bottle. Obtained in a trade with LouS. Oud Bruin with Shiitake mushrooms – I’m intrigued. Bloody wax was hell to get off as usual. Dark reddish brown, head fizzes away instantly as if I were pouring a soda, quite odd. Nose is big on sourness, red wine vinegar, very sour green apples, strongly puckering sour oak, sour red fruits, picking up lots of sour wine here, acid, lime, possibly something lightly savory, earthly that could be Shiitake but could just as well not be,… I would have never picked it out if I were not looking for it, even now it doesn’t particularly strike me as shiitake mushrooms. Taste is sparkling, hugely carbonated, taste is very big on sourness, very harsh, puckering, not getting shiitake here, harsh wine vinegar, very sour red wine, strong sour lemon, very sour green apple & nail polish, lingering glue aftertaste, very sour red wine, tannins, oak, some faint leather notes maybe… Okay but very one note & very harsh on the sourness, all the way to some nail polish notes, very vinegar-like,… Lacks complexity & I am not getting shiitake here, that might be just me but my opinion on the rest firmly standing. Just about okay.

Thnx to Mike !!! Pours unclear , brown. No real head. Smell is freshly sour, ( fruity in a way ) Taste is really earthy-ish ( i guess thats the mushroom ) next to the obvious sourness. Better than expected given the fact I really don’t like mushrooms.

Bottle @ Steve_0 during my 10k tick fest. Thanks Dave! Pours a murky, orangish brown appearance with a light brown. Mild vinegar / acetic acid, oak, light lemon, cherry, and berry in the nose. Moderately tart. Earthy, red wine, vinegar, twangy wild cherries in the mouth. Not overly acidic. Nice beer but doesn’t blow my mind.

Bouteille 50cl courtesy of ans shared with Omgrich and the crew.
