33cl bottle: BBD 10/2015. Drank at home in 06/2015. Bought from Rudi in De Bierboom, Brugge some time ago. Poured slowly into a Westmalle chalice, it was still cloudy even though I did not allow any sediment to leave the bottle. On top was a wispy head and a thin collar, more or less no head: but it was not a vigorous pour. Strange aroma of washing up liquid with bubble gum and rotting vegetables. After my initial sips I added the sediment from the bottle to hopefully enhance and intensify the flavours and taste: oh dear! Chemical, yeasty and an unpleasant orangey twang: whatever spices (Coriander, Bay Leaves?) they have added has had a detrimental effect on the base beer, or I hope it did! Not my cup of tea.

Thanks to Kraddel! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Rampkrot. Speculoos beer. The label has a crappy picture of bread & it is called Cuvée of the baker. This brewery is truly terrible at everything. How bad can your marketing be? How hard can it be to take a picture of speculoos & clearly market this? I truly do not care for this brewery. Pours a hazy orange, little nasty bubbles, even the appearance is off-putting. Nose is rotting cinnamon, chemical nutmeg, rotting wheat, nasty rotting barn,… Taste is chemical, decay, rotting barn, chemical apple juice, artificial nutmeg, rotting plastic, truly nasty,… Fizzy & moldy body. Garbage really. Bouillon, sigh,……

Bouteille 33cl @ Marché des Produits Luxembourgeois ’14. BB 04/2016.
