Bottle at home. It pours cloudy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is rich, malt-driven, Victoria Sponge cake, jam rolly polly & custard, dried raspberry, wood and caramel. The taste is bitter, toast, dried fruits, fruit cake, jammy, damp wood, leather, spice, alcohol warmth, malt loaf and wet leaves with a lingering dry-woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Mmmmalty. Nose is crazy good. Not as drinkable as I had hoped, but interesting anyhow.

Post Borefts Tasting, Tulip Hotel Room 118. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Oxidised tasting caramel malts. Little dried fruits. Little spice. Semi dry finish. A rich malty treat and always good to try these blasts from the past.
