Clear, golden. Fresh and fruity aroma with some Bretty tones and a bit of liquorice. Funky, fresh taste with a wine-like finish.

On tap at Alvinne Craft Beer Fest in Vichte - Belgium March 2015 with markoijelena. Pours golden semi-filtered, with a minimal white head. Nose: wood, sweet notes mixed with spirits. Mouth: it stays mild, flat and a bit below expectations. Meeeeh.

@ ACBF 2015. Hazy amber colour. Sour smell, notes of vegetables and vanilla. Light bourbon. Weak flavour. Very strange, doesn’t work for me.

Dark orange. 1 finger head white, big and small bubbles. 2012 vintage. Lactic aroma, strawberry, some lemon. Tart, lemon, ginger, some bread crackers, vanilla and an herbal dry finish. It’s a nice beer, very strange but pretty drinkable. just the bourbon presence is minimal.

Pours clear blonde. Smell is sharp bourbon. Taste is slightly bitter, very aromatic, grainy bourbon. No real beertaste left. Rather thin mouthfeel for the abv, but it works good for the beer. Bit too bourbon forward for me though.

Sample draft @ ACBF 2015. Dorée-orangée, col fin blanc. Arôme est plein de Bourbon avec un léger fini citronné et houblonné qui semble bien marquer le nez. Palais reste également centré sur un Bourbon généreux avec en rétro un houblonné aux saveurs d’agrumes. Ce dernier ajoute une pointe d’amertume. Le tout est réchauffant avec une note boisée et surtout pas mal de vanille qui perdure en fin de bouche. Garde un peu une note de DAPA avec un profil malté qui reste bien présent. Le tout reste cependant un peu mitigé au niveau de la direction de cette bière.

From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity, peachy and citrusy. Earthy and light citric. Smooth fruity, wooden and earthy. Dry. Herbal and citric. Lingering wineous fruity finish. Dry though.

#100 Struise beer. Sampled draft @ ACBF 2015. Hazy golden, little white head. Sweet oranges, vanilla sugar, lots of bourbon sweetness. Taste is lightly herbal, lots of sugar, orange, huge sweet bourbon & lots of vanilla, sticky in a good way,… Thick almost sticky body. Not very attenuated but quite lovely all the same. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)

Clear pale orange beer, creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, fruity, peaches, summer fruits, citrus, little spicy, funky, floral notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit soapy, is this bourbon B.A.? (apparently...), sourish touch, bitter, floral. Aftertaste: very soapy, little bitter, funky, spicy touch, bit weird. Not the best Struise beer...
