dark orange nice lacing 1 finger head. slightly cloudy. Decent bitterness of citrus, some rosemary and hard candies. Orange, honey, clove and a finish that’s straight up medicine. I get some watermelon as well. lots going on but overall the taste is not good.

At ACBF. Apparently a collaboration brew intended to support Hof Ten Dormaal which suffered a fire recently, so I’m having one out of solidarity... Yellowish white, stable, creamy head, murky brownish amber colour. Fruity and hoppy aroma, strawberry, grass, leafy hops, spicy notes, caramelly malts, blood orange, pink grapefruit, gingerbread; fruity-estery sweetishness in the onset, smooth caramelly and pleasantly bready malts with toasted touch, resinous and leafy, citrusy and spicy hops in the finish, long and bittering. Delicious.

Draft sample @ ACBF’15.

Sampled bottled @ ACBF 2015. Dark amber, small white head. Nose is way too sweet, orange, peel, mandarin, lots of malts, malt-sweet, almost touch umami, served too cold. Coldness of the beer takes a bit away from the taste which is bitter herbal follow by sweet malts, brown sugar, light umami, lots of herbal sweetness, sugar, sweet bark, weird herbal bitterness,… Malty body. Nope not for me, sorry. I am going to blame Hof ten Dormaal here, at least it is for a good cause I suppose. (Thanks for sharing people!!!)

Clear reddish brown beer, creamy irregular white head, very stable, bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, pineapple, bit malty, cheesy touch, some melons. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, pretty hoppy, bit cheesy, bitter, some citrus, bit of a piny touch. Aftertaste: bitter, metallic touch, fruity, pineapple, some citrus, bitter grapefruit.
