0.33 can from Belgium. Golden colored, with no head. No outstandng aroma, with a bit sweetness in flavor. Nothing extraordinary.

Aroma of sweet malt, grains, cardboard, fruity notes, hint of hops. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitter finish. A bit chemical sweetness, which is not good. Wow, bit of a disappointment considering they usually churn out some decent to good beers.

F: thin, white, not long lasting. C: pale gold, clear. A: malty, grainy, cardboard, apple, bread. T: malty, grainy, cardboard, fruity tones, grassy, not good balanced, there is unmalted cereals and hop extract in the contain so may be, that’s why, quite cheap cca 1e, 33cl can from Carrefour in Tervuren near Brussels.

From a can bought somewhere in Antwerp. Pale clear blonde with snow white head, notably sweet aroma and taste, almost honeyish even, smooth and relatively creamy mouthfeel for the style, bit metallic in the middle, hint of grassy hops in the finish but malt sweetness keeps prevailing. Sweeter and more ’rounded’ than the average standard pale lager and I actually kind of liked that, but I will have to re-rate this since the tasting conditions were anything but ideal. For now: quite okay for its style, to my taste at least, in being a bit different in its sweetness. I’d recommend this over the pale lagers of the industrial macro breweries any time. Reminded me a bit of Anker’s own pale lager (Blusser, not sure if this still exists).

Can bought in Brugge. Blonde lager with a thin bubble head. Very standard lager with very little character.

2/X/14 - 25cl can from local Carrefour supermarket @ home - BB: 22/IV/15 (2014-1168)
Clear light blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving nice rings of lacing in the glass while drinking. Aroma: grains, malty, hay, bit sweet, corn syrup? MF: soft carbon, medium body. taste: very malty, bit sweet, grassy, grains, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: malty, sweet touch, bitter eurohops, pretty dry, grains, hay, German profile, better than most other Belgian lagers.

33 cl. gorgeous looking can picked up @ Carrefour. Pale clear golden with sinking fluffy soapy white head. Looks like a pale lager ,all right. Metallic, grain nose, hay, something pale lager, wet cardboard. Sweet cardboard, cheap apple juice taste, grainy, something wet, rain water, musty, dusty old lemon,… Odd sticky chemical body, fizzy. Mmm, taste like a cheap no-brand supermarket lager. This is significantly worse than the average macro pale lager. Good for people who drink pale lager, love fancy cans & don’t care about the taste of the beer that they drink. I am certain that there is market for this, you can get a similar beer for a small fraction of the cost of this one.

Can from a Carrefour supermarket in Leuven. Nice and modern can. A new lager from a small brewery that makes good beers, so I had quiet high expectations. But this is an awful sweet malty boring lager. Why oh why is it so difficult for Belgian brewers to make a good lager! A pity, because the other beers from Lupus are good.
