Large chunks of yeast. Pinkish golden color, frothy head. Strawberry aroma. Yeasty bitter, nutty and a touch of strawberry. Not artificial, but the flavor disappoints.

F: big, tan, good retention. C: coppery, hazy. A: malty, fruity, rotten eggs, candy, caramel. T: malty, fruity, bit sulphur, bit candy yet dry on the palate, medium body and higher carbonation, not good balanced for the style with really messy unpleasant aroma, not enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.

24/XII/15 - 33cl bottle from Beer Planet (Brussels) @ home - BB: 30/III/16 (2015-1775)

Clear orange beer, huge fizzy irregular beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately, non adhesive. aroma: sickening artificial sweetness, strawberry candy (those big soft chewy ones, pretty translucent and strawberry shaped), syrup, very dirty. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: artificial strawberry flavour, bit sweet, but strangely enough not very sugary, also really dirty. Aftertaste: strawberry candy, artificial flavourings, very dirty finish, bitter as well. Really bad disgusting stuff, even my sister in law didn't like it.

Top-fermented strawberry beer for the strawberry farmers in Wépion, formerly brewed by Mibrana. Thick, firm, mousse-like, snow white head, peach blonde colour with orange hue, hazy. Delicate strawberry perfume, banana, sweet apricot, gingerbread, cinnamon, vanilla, mint but unfortunately a disturbing H2S smell too (rotten egg). Light and genuinely fruity taste of sweetish strawberry with sourish and malty accents, spicy too, ending in a dry fruit acidity and mild hoppy bitterishness. Too bad for the H2S, I would have kind of enjoyed this otherwise, though I am normally not a the biggest fan of fruit beers.

33 cl. bottle split with Kraddel @ Cambrinus. BBF 24/01/2015. Dark copper orange, creamy white head. Smells like cheap strawberry grenadine, crazily sweet, cheapest white sugar. Taste like cheap strawberry grenadine, nearly straightup, touch herbal, cheapest white sugar sweet. Fizzy & sticky. Didn’t finish half of the bottle, this is straight up rubbish.

33cl bottle. Finally a decent strawberry beer that beats the nasty Abita experience. This one carries the name of the Belgian town famous for its strawberries. pours golden with a light haze, white head. aroma has definitely a whole lot of strawberries without being overdone. Some notes of grass and herbal also to be noted. flavors, nice and subtle use of strawberry, bottle indicates authentic aroma which considering how versatile strawberries can be, makes sense. The palate is not too sweet and keeps a nice strawberry mouthfeel that is as close as strawberries one could pick in his yard, leaving a nice soil and fruity mouthfeel. 7-3-7-3-15

33 cL bottle, slow gusher. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is distinct strawberry fruity, light sweet impression. Phenolic, strawberry fruity and subdued sweet flavoured. Dry and phenolic finish, rather abrupt finish to the strawberry flavours.
