Flemish barrel aged sour. We grow our own grapes (Boskoop-variety), harvest them and put the harvest each year on one or two barrels (depending on the harvest) of a barrel aged beer.

Keg at Borefts day 2 27/09/2014. Bodegraven. As Avino 2013. Red / copper coloured pour with no head, Aroms is cherry cpuch sweets, funk, sour cherry, Flavour is tart fruit, puckering, black cherry, sour fruit. Palate is sharp acid, very sour, but clean acid. Pretty good.

50CL enjoyed 2 ways in stemware at 44 Degrees F. No head, very dark plum purple color with a tiny bit of sediment. The Nose is pretty weak, acetic grape skin, plum and peach nose. Lots of sour. Whoa, this is so freaking sour. Like biting into a sour candy with lemon and a lot of tree fruits (peach, apple, pears, figs, etc) Oak tannins and a lot of brandy and wine notes.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy orqnge to amber with a small off white head. Aroma is wineous, fruity and toasted malt. Tart, fruity and wineous. Citric and wineous. Mild acidic.

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Alvinne Alvino 2013 ].Unclear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wood, tart fruit - berry, wood - tobacco. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, tart, caramel, wood, tart like a BA red wine. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140926]

01/11/2014 @ home - 50 cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Hazy brown colour with no head. Smell is sour, vinous. Taste is sour, vinous, barrel, reminds of "Felix Oud Bruin". Dry aftertaste

Bottle at BBF 6, 26/09/14 as Alvino 2013. Almost clear amber golden with moderate off white edgework and spotting. Nose is mellow sour fruits, citric rinse, woody must, spice. Taste comprises tarte fruit rinds, dates, musty wood, dank tunes, fruit balsams. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent sour red.

[9/27/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. 2013 vintage. Clear deep amber. Nice aroma, funky, with malt, cherries, cobwebs and lacto. Sour flavor, quite funky, with some lacto, cherries and some malt. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Sampled @ Borefts 2014. Nice clear dark red color, small beige head. Smell sourness, grapes. Taste sourness, grape peel, sour fruit. Quite dry finish, decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

At BBF14 . Pours rather clear dark amber / brown . Very small white head . Smell is sour-ish . Bit wood . Taste is dry , bit fruity (cherrys ) ,oak . Very sharp .
