Draft @ Borefts 2014. Had it as Alvino 2013. Man, this is sour. Intense, mouthwreching sourness, combined with a bit of malt and some red fruits. Nice, but really sour.

26/IX/14 - on tap @ Borefts 2014 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2014-1088) Thanks to Benzai, 77ships, fonefan and cgarvieuk for sharing today's beers!

Clear red brown beer, aery off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sourish, vinous, red wine, reminds me of a lot of the Italian (red wine) B.A. beers that's I've had before. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish, lemony, little bitter, vinegar. Aftertaste: sourish, vinegar, lemony, really sour stuff, bit vinous, mainly lemony. Not a lot of red wine flavour (tannins) though, luckily. :p Not bad, but not my favourite Alvinne.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ Pure Apricot Tasting. Thanks! Reddish amber, little spotty white head. Light oxidized nose with sweet lacto, malts, grape must, thinned out sour dark grapes,… Taste is rich quite sour grape must, lactic, lightly musty, skins, lingering, lots of grapes, sour must, sour young wine, light malt, dry,… Lactic, lower carbonation, very, very good. Easily one of the best Alvinne beers I have had so far, not sure how age will affect is since age is usually not the best friend of Alvinne beers even when it comes to sours.

0.75l bottle. A cloudy dark red one with a small sidesticking beige top. Smells quite nice, fruity sweet red berries, a slight red wine vinegar hint with lots of wood and some lemon zest. It gives a zing in the mouth alright. Red berries and wood. More of that vinegar, but more a apply version. Oily mouthfeel with a below average carbonation level. Refreshing, lots of red berries. Lots of white currants. Acidity fresh! 20.01.2013

Little cloudy amber to orange beer, small white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sour, vinegar, bretta, grains, bit sweet, caramel. MF: ok carbon, a bit much maby, light to medium body. Taste: sour start, green apples, lemony, bretta touch, some alcohol, woody, oak, little bitter. Aftertaste: woody, red wine vinegar if not so sour though, a nice sourness, bit bretty, dry, little bitter. A very nice and balanced sour beer!

Obtained in a trade with Klaas. BBF 2014 – 2009 Vintage? 75 cl. bottle shared. Pours a darker fox amber with only some bubbles on the sides. Old lactic yoghurt grapes on the nose, yoghurt grapes, sour malts, lightly fermenting, moldy barrel,… Sour grape mash in the taste, light lactic, touch yoghurt, mash, sour barrel, light brett, rotting malts,.. Lightly fizzy, bit too high carb. Okay stuff not too bad.

Hazy red brown beer with a short lived creamy head. Light crisp and dry palate. Tart fruit with dry unsweet oak. The red wine is subtle presence providing a richness in the aftertaste. Overall a refreshing beer with medium complexity.
