Notes from 2014: This puts up some stiff foam when poured in a narrow IPA glass, all the better to deliver aroma to you. Color is very pale, while many IPA have kind of an orange cast. Perhaps because there is a bit of oatmeal in the grain bill, according to Deschutes. The nose has a lot of mango, pomegranate, and some pine needles. Malt comes in a little sticky, and the 7.4% alcohol feels more obvious because of it. And the hop aroma just fill the airspace in my mouth at the same time. This one holds to its promise of a strong hop experience. This does not have the usual taste of fresh cut grass that some wet hops will give you. So it will stand out when you’re sampling hoppy beers around.

Bottle. Pours hazy butterscotch, tons of tiny suspended particles, large white head, creamy and slow to dissipate with nice lacing. Aroma is pine, onoin, passionfruit, dank leaves. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, juicy, dank, somewhat herbal. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Nice.

Bomber. This is only a couple days away from the Best By date, so I hope it’s good. Smells great, with grapefruit standing out in a major way; also, crackers, floral soap. Pours hazy golden with a one finger white head that falls after a minute; laces a little. Taste is fresh and citrusy, fairly bitter. Prickly carbonation, medium body. Very good and fresh tasting, doesn’t taste old one bit.

Frothy white head. Cloudy golden color. Big hoppy nose with lots of grapefruit character. The mouth is moderately bitter with lingering geurtzminer aftertaste. Very vibrant hop character. Great stuff

Pours gold with moderate head. Aromas of pine, tropical fruit, peaches and celery. Flavors are bright and similar with additional notes of rubber and bitter grapefruit. Very nice.

22oz bomber pours with a clear pale gold body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up inviting mango and tangerine fruity goodness as well as spicy onion dankness and just a flash of floral hops. Nice. The taste starts with spicy nearly bitter dank onion like hoppiness surrounding a pleasing malt sweetened juicy mango and tangerine to tangelo citrus yumminess. Solid. This is bitter and juicy, yes.

22oz bottle picked up at the state store
Pours cloudy orange with a medium sized white head, good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, earthy, resin and citrus peel. Taste is resiny, oily, grapefruit with a nice solid bitterness in the finish
Very nice, I like Mosaic the more I have it.

Bottle @ home with LeninCat, picked up at Wilbur’s Foco for $6. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with an off white head. Dank spicy nose with some resin, cracker, and light citrus. Medium body. Really juicy, resiny hoppy flavor. Pretty fucken dry. A little bready and somewhat herbal. Easy to drink. Good brew. LeninCat ticked this @ 4-5.

Best by 01/11/15 stamped in white on the side.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a clear yellow color with streams of light carbonated bubbles rising into a one finger white foamy head that dissipated into a light film of a head coating the top of the body. Nice streamy looking lacing strings its way around the glass.
The smell had a nice sweet onion blended finely into a light malty to spicy / grassy and a light blessing of grapefruit on the end.
The taste was spicy sweet with a touch of bitter pine adding to the mix. There’s a slight onion aftertaste with a sweet to bitter finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability to it. 7.4 percent, really? Wow, uh...okay, but honestly, I dig it.
Overall, AIPA with the mosaic hops, yup, job well done - Deschutes. Would definitely love to have this with a sweeter food dish.
