650ml, aroma is slightly orange, VERY slight, sweet malt, and a smidge of hops. Flavour is quite thin, some honey, and a tad of orange, but the honey seems to take some of the hosp away, makes it a bit too sweet. Its wattery, and not very good. meh, i’m not liking this very much.

Smells a little citrusy. Pours a slightly cloudy brown without much head but a little lacing just the same. Tastes pretty much like a lager with a little orange peel astringency. Pretty random beer. Why bother to bottle this? 650ml bottle lcbo

hazy amber beer. Crisp and a little dry. Light malt with soft orange riding underneath. The orange is a little marmalade and surprisingly subtle. Can’t taste the honey of much of any hops. Smooth finish with the orange getting a little sweeter. Refreshing.

Originally rated June 2007. Purchased a bottle of this 20th anniversary (brewery) limited edition beer while I was in Toronto. Pours a clean amber colour with an off-white fairly creamy head, that is not the biggest, but does retain its shape for a while. The carbonation is above average and lacing sticks all around the glass. The nose though is not very strong, with a bit of hop. This would be the weakest part of this brew. The texture is smooth and creamy. Its flavours are quite nice and not too punchy. Just a nice blend of grainy malts and hops. The bitterness is subtle all the way through, and slightly goes stronger in the aftertaste. The orange is not there to make this a fruity beer, but to built a bridge between the malts and hops. A very intresting limited product, worth seaking before it is gone.

Light amber color. An unbalanced ale with some artifical organe flavoring thrown in. Pass.

Bottle from matt7215. Thanks once more! Pours a slighty hazy orange amber with a rapidly diminishing white head. Aroma seems a complex blend of malt and orange. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is orange zest and nicely roasted malt. Not so much a fruit beer as an interesting pale ale, if you can accept using orange oil in place of hop. Not saying there are no hops, just that there’s a lot of bitter orange oil. And bitter is what it’s all about. Finishes mildly astringent and highly tasty. Surprisingly good stuff.

Vibrant orangey colour. Orangey, apricotty aroma. Full of bitter orange peel flavour with slightly firm malts in the background. Finishes quite dry. Had on tap - maybe the bottles aren’t as good?

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a good size foamy head with medium retention and no lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt with not as much spices as was advertised on the label. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with light bitter hops. I still can’t believe five varieties of hops were used and that the taste is not more pronounced. Would have enjoyed this one a lot more of it had more character.
