Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a deep ruby colour with a large thick foamy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, berries, jam and some bready notes. Taste has more dark fruits, plums, berries, jam, sherbet tang and some peppery spice. A touch of sweetness lingers on the dark fruity finish. Decent balance. Thin to medium body with a light fizzy mouthfeel. Nice Brune i would definitely have this one again.

The dark Poiluchette, with thin, sticky, light beige head and dark mahogany colour with ruby hue, misty. Aroma of pear, chocolate, figues, caramel, liquorice, port wine, kahlua. Nutty and caramelly malt sweetness in the mouth, molasses, candi syrup, candied dates, bit thin mouthfeel, smooth, mild grassy hops in the finish. I liked the blonde one better but still, this is not bad, certainly in comparison with many other Huyghe beers.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark red color, medium sized off-white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell malts, caramel, sweetness. Taste malts, light to moderately sweet, caramel. Not bad, but nothing special either.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Clear deep brown colour thick dark beige head. Malty estery and sherberty aroma. Yep its a brune. Some sourness to it. Some hop. It’s ok. Pretty decent if you like a sherberty brune. Malty.

Bottled 330ml. -Reddish/brown coloured, medium sized tan head, malty spicy nose with touch of chocolate. Sweet malty, fruity and spicy with notes of vanilla and brown sugar. Big chunks of yeast sediment were floating around the glass. Much better than Blond.
