(Draft at Joran Cidrothèque, Brussels, 20 Sep 2025) Golden colour with big, but brief, white head. Fruity nose with notes of apples, oak wood, bourbon, citrus and a touch of glue. Fruity, tart taste with apples, oak wood, bourbon, a touch of glue and a tart finish with a generous tannin harshness. More than medium body, semi-dry. Rich, tasty and woody, with a good whiskey character and a generous acidity. Very nice.

Keg @ That Beer Place, Chester. Clear golden amber. Big grippy tannin on initial sip, brought out more by a tickling carb, fleshy feel with orchard bark, big impactful flavour but perhaps a little rough and astringent at times, a little more balance of sweetness would be welcome. Still, a lovely cider.

12oz can, imported & canned by ANXO. Lo-ball glass @home. Slightly hazed, dark pee, quick-hitting head. Smells of macerated apples, yeast slurry, green/unripe fruit, sulfur; needs air. Very sharp upfront, bittersweet/sharps, green & sour stone fruit, bitter lettuce. Very small hint of funk. Dry, lingering moderate tartness, itty bit of sweet vinegar peeking out, slight Aspirin finish. Bit of a sulfite headache. Excellent juggling between sweet-bitter-sour. Full bodied, slurry, moderate to low carbonation, hearty abv, rich but nearly dry. Liked.

Keg at Town Mouse, Newcastle. Hazy gold colour, thin white foam head and aroma of fruity apple, some funk. Taste is tangy apple, fleshy, tart, orchardy with lots of barnyard funk and drying tannins. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tart tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
