Bottle, apparently a 2013 vintage. Pours clear blonde, good white head. Sweet, malty scent. bit bitter, as well as a mild hoparoma. Taste is bitter, hoppy ( somewhat aromatic) mild metallic back. Grainy, some honey-style sweetness ( probably due to the hoparoma, rather than actual honey) very yeasty as well. Nice, balanced triple

Commissioned beer for a beer club in Dendermonde and named after a Dendermondish count; tasted from a 75 cl corked bottle. Rocky, yellowish white, big and nicely lacing foam, colour a deep ’old gold’ with rosy and pale orangey shades, clear but ever more dark and cloudy when adding the deposit. Aroma of unripe pear, hazelnuts, green apple, fresh olives, cheese spread, bitter honey, lemon zest, grass, peated whisky and plastic. The mouth gets a citrussy sourishness at first - as with so many Belgian ales - to become smoothly and rather deeply malty after that, not surprising considering the fact that De Landtsheer used 5 malts in this, caramel, nuts and again that vague smoky touch, herbal and lightly spicy hops appear quite early and becomes more prominent in the finish, where it is accompanied by warming, bourbon- to brandy-like alcohol, that does not become astringent.

Bottle thanks to 77ships at the WoSF, 2013. It pours hazy amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is pear, melon, pear drops, red apple, icing sugar and apricot. The taste is earth, hay, spice, some alcohol, toast, dull mouldiness, wood and bread. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent balance. Not bad.

75 cl. bottle shared with the group @ WoSF 2013. Label shows 4 riders sitting on top of a Trojan horse. First rating in 4 years – 2013 bottle. Has this been out of production or just crazily rare? Never seen this one anywhere but at WoSF. Apparently brewed by a hobby club. No idea… Hazy orange, white bubbles for a head. Nose is lots of soap, citrus hops, banana, sweet BE yeast,… Taste is sweet banana, hay, white pepper, sweet apple & spices, some bitter hops & spices, little soap,… Fizzy body.

Bottle courtesy of 77ships, thanks! Cloudy golden color, white head, solid lacing. Aroma of dusty white pepper, straw, hay, and somethign that starts with an f (I can’t read my handwriting). Taste is peppery and dusty hay, not too sweet.

Cloudy, beige. Very spicy, bready nose - cumin, caraway and mint. Very toasty, yeasty beer. Palate shows coriander. Probably a bit too carbonated, but otherwise a nice beer.

Slightly cloudy orange with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma, lots of pineapple, herbs, pine needles, yeast and phenols. Sweet and hoppy flavour, some yeast. Nothing spectacular, but tasty and easy drinkable!

Bottled. Orange colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is yeast, hops, citrusfruit and malts. Flavour is yeast, caramel malts and some alcohol. A very pleasant thing, that hides the alcohol very well, or atleast the alcohol is not too disturbing in the aroma or flavour.
