Espresso and Stout. A bewitching blend of two rich, roasted flavours. We use the finest fresh coffee to enhance the decadent pleasure of this dark and complex beer. Black as sin and just as much fun. Was 7.0% ABV

Cask @ Sheffield Tap. Pours black. Smooth coffee and roasted malt flavours with a creamy head massaging the moustache hairs. Quite a nice stout with a good bitter coffee finish.

THX! to Kraddel. 33 cl. bottle split by 2 @ Barley Legal Tasting Room. Pours black with a spotty & incomplete mocha head. Nose is a bit strange, somewhat herbal (maybe there is a touch of age on this one?), coffee grounds, roasted malts. Taste carries slight coffee sourness, lots of grounds, very dark roasted coffee and espresso coffee beans, actual coffee / beans flavour here, seriously roasted malts, touch lactose, still doesn’t feel heavy. Ideal replacement for a cup of coffee overall. Almost bit more of a coffee geek than a beer geek beer. Not stellar but very enjoyable overall.

330ml bottle shared with jeevan. Does what it says on the tin, and does it well. Roasted coffee from beginning to end. Creamy texture, long finish. Very nice.

Bottles from The Beerhive and Vino Wines. Black body with a thin tan head that slowly fades. Light lacing. Aroma of rich espresso, vanilla, raisin and dark chocolate. Flavour of cocoa, fig, plum, bitter espresso and a peppery finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily mouthfeel. Very low carbonation. A rich, heavy Stout. Wonderful.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to J-Dog, 09/12/13. Light black with a moderate tan covering. Nose is light booze, cheap coffee waft, toffee, burnt sugars, light roast. Taste comprises dark malts, light spice, touch of roast, espresso, cheap chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light roast in the finale. So so affair, drinkable but smacked of cheap construct, not to revisit.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Josh. Almost clear dark brown beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Light dry palate. Sweet coffee and bubblegum ester. Light tangy fruits. Light dry finish. The weakest offering from this new brewery, the beer is somewhat odd.
