Like I rated their 250 ann stout, this is the best Guinness can do? really? Your one of the best known brands in the world and you throw this crap out to the public. dissapointed.

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large creamy beige head that faded fairly quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was a bit skunky, sour, tangy and industrial. The flavor was bitter, tangy and industrial with a sour, corny and almost medicinal undertone. Medium finish, smooth body. Blah.

Green bean aroma. Clear mahogany, medium tan head, nice lacing. Thin body. Dry cola and cardboard flavor. I enjoy Guinness’ stouts, so I had higher hopes for this. Such a disappointment,

Bottle purchased @ Smiley’s Discount beverage, Dover, NH for $1.59. Deep brown pour into a pint. Soapy head, light lace. Nose of roasted barley. A slight smokiness with a roasted malt backbone. A tad thin in the body. Much better than I thought to was going to be.

11.2 fl oz bottle at Llywelyns Pub in Overland Park, Kansas. Pour is black brown and some ruby, with a loose 2 inch tan head that is rocky, and falls pretty quick. OK lacing. Aroma is really faint, though it was cold. Some sweet malt, whisper of roast malt, that’s about it. Taste is mildly sweet malt, then a mineral light ashy roast finish. Simple, but clean. Palate is light to bodied, dry, crisp finish. Mild sweet finish, a bit of char lingers past that. Overall, easy drinking with enough flavor to be interesting.

Funny, its like a lagered version of the stout. Thin, roasty and insipid, with a plain finish. Light, nearly watery palate. Bleh.

33 cL bottle at Sunset Grill. Pours dark brown to black with a creamy, tan and semi lasting head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish, mild cornish too. Cornish, toasted malty and dark breadish. Light metallic and bitter flavoured. Dark roasted and dry finish.

Bottle. Deep brown approaching black. Frothy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Light aroma of similar to a pale lager but with a hint of roast, but only a hint. Toasted grain, earthiness. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. "Guinness" taste in the finish. But light on the roast for a schwarzbier. Easy drinking, but thin. No wonder Guinness suggests drinking it very cold.
