Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a small head that fades over a copper body. Aromas are of raisins, vinous, grapes, caramel, fruit and leather. Flavors are a bit bland. Light acidity, lasting bitterness, raisins and a vinous note. Light bubbles.

500 ml bottle courtesy of Harry! Thanks! Nose of tartness with slight funk, and woodiness. Cloudy rust with a big beige head. Flavor was very funky with moderate tartness.

Ill hook up from Irish Boy @ RBSG’09 Grand Tasting, 500mL bottle. The appearance is muddy thick red with a sticky khaki head. The beer is light aceto with light earthy vegetal. Not so vegetal in the flavor but more than just musky malts. This is not so different in certain Flanders Red style beers. A bit corny and musky at the same time. Has a nicely thicker body with a tingling carbonation. Works well, nothing spectacular but cool and decent stuff.

A dark lightly hazed brown ale wutg a thick moka head. Aroma is rather herbal, catnip, spices and earthy. In mouth, a very malt ale with strong hopping, herbaceous, italian herbs,a bit metallic, but not to style, as it is missing the lactic notes, the sour cherries. This is veering on an herbal old ale, not a Flemish sour. Still, a nice rich ale. Thanks to Probstk for bringing me this.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear red color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma consists of notes of funk with some very light oak. Taste is also a mix between some light tart notes with some funk. Interesting experiment but lacking some of the sour and tart notes that I enjoy so much in the style but I also applaud the brewer who is swilling to try this style.

Brown bottle, 341 ml, purchased at the brewery by my mom on May 18 2008, savoured on November 27 2008; eye: golden, clear, no effervescence, white head that disappears almost completely and turns into a tiny ring, no lacing; nose: lots of malt, dusty hay; mouth: lots of malt, dusty hay, slight sugar, finale in malt with a good presence of dusty hay, thin, average carbonation, lightly sweet, no bitterness, medium-light body; overall: disappointing FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 341 ml, achetĂ©e Ă la brasserie par ma maman le 18 mai 2008, savourĂ©e le 27 novembre 2008; Ĺ“il : dorĂ©e, claire, pas d’effervescence, mousse blanche qui disparaĂ®t presque complètement et se transforme en un petit anneau, pas de dentelle; nez : beaucoup de malt, foin humide; bouche : beaucoup de malt, foin humide, très lĂ©ger sucre, finale en malt avec beaucoup de foin humide, mince, carbonatation moyenne, lĂ©gèrement sucrĂ©e, aucune amertume, corps moyen-lĂ©ger; en rĂ©sumĂ© : dĂ©cevante

Reddish-brown and muddy. Balsamic, woody, with a slight red currant fruitiness and brown sugar notes. Tart front gets sweeter but is fairly dirty, like sawdust with some pedio. Alcoholic dryness comes in late. Lots of hop - you get this long, pithy bitterness and some leafy character. Quite an interesting brew, but finishing a pint is way too much work.
