Clear ruby red colour (as might be expected from hibiscus), small off-white head. Rather sweet aroma, hibiscus, candy, fruity, spicy, light peppery yeast. Flavour rather sour at first, hibiscus tea, herbal, light bitter notes, sweetish hint, red berries. Light carbonation, Light bitter, somewhat tart herbal finish. Strange first impression, but rather grows on you.
(Taster glass from 33cL bottle @ 5th BBF, Brugge 2012. Thanks for sharing, Klaas!)

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks kerenmk. Brown-colored. Bretty fruity aroma with light spiciness, musty notes and barnyard. Infected sour flavor with brett, a bit of citrus, light fruits and some musty notes. Infected, but in a nice way.

At Papsoe’s pre CPH Beer Fest tasting, cheers Henrik! Bottle courtesy of Fonefan. Cheers Jan! Hazy cherry red beer. Semi dry crispish palate. Strong sourish hibiscus totally dominates. Sourish dry finish. Another intense unique beer in this series. Would love to try the others.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, consumed 15.01.11 Pours red, blood red in fact but with good clarity, it looks quite glorious, there is a filmy light pink head atop. The aroma is far more blunted than I would have expected but there is a light tartness and it’s a little fruity and floral. Taste is nowhere near as sweet as the previous two floral efforts. Flowery and with some perfume in the mouth, fruity with a nice tang, yes there is some sweetness but it’s a much better beer that the others. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottled. A hazy dark and very red beer with a pink head. The aroma has notes of flowers, fruits, and berries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries - primarily black currant - like a berry soup. The body is thick.

Bottle, shared by fonefan. A dark red, hazy beer with a small, pink head. Berryish nose with dark fruits. Sweet, berryish flavor with some flowery notes. A little citrusy sourness too. Medium body, rather sticky sweet. A bit boring, with no artificial flavors, and well hidde alcohol. Not a beer I could drink alot of. (090514)
