A hazed reddish copper ale with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, candy sugar, light curacao, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with candy sugar, light vinous character, Curaçao, coriander, light alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from Super Nosso, Libertade park, BH.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Rustic manure aroma. Medium body, somewhat excessive carbonation. Some caramel rather than dried fruits. Ends surprisingly bitter. Not the most sophisticated Quad for sure! 080614

Bottle obtained in a trade with FlavioSP. Thx! 375 ml. bottle split with Benzai @ the some people are tired tasting. Hotel post day #1 @ Borefts 2013. Corked & caged bottle. Pours a fox brown orange with no head at all. Nose is very sweet, oxidized caramel malts, sweet liquid cane sugar, quality alcohol, thick wood, marmalade in the nose. Taste is thick orange peel, lots of liquid cane sugar, warming, oxidized very thick caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, thick jam, slight strawberry, warming, boozy in a good way, prunes,… Sticky caramel malts body & basically no carb. at all. Very nice & original barley wine, just not a quad.

Sampled from bottle @ the some people are tired tasting (after borefts 2013 day 1). Hazy orange to light brownish color, small off - white head. Smell and taste malts, alcohol, sweetness, wood. A bit too much alcohol I’d say but not bad at all.

Bottle at Delirium RJ. It pours dark brown, with a large off-white head. The nose is sticky dark fruit, wood, sherry, jam and booze. The taste is raisin, plum, currant, wood, varnish, nut, sherry, jam, with a very boozy finish. Full body, lively carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Pretty tasty, but too much alcohol warmth.
