Bottled. A murky golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of lemons and straw. The aroma has notes of lemons, malt, and straw, leading to a tart finish.

Bottle@yesprs - Pale yellow pour with no head. Critic fruity aroma and taste, some lemony notes, sharp on the palate, light citric spice, straw, light grassy.

Boutielle 33cl, no BB. Beer has everything about a batch gone sour which is relabelled with some kind of added vitamin C mineral feel to it. Meh. Dorée-trouble, col blanc disp vite.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow to orange color, medium to large fizzy white head that diminishes instantly. Aroma is lightly sweet, a bit winey, slightly citrussy sourish. Taste is pretty sour, more sour than expected anyway, pretty dry, green apples, lemon. If you’d try this in a blind tasting you’d probably think it was some kind of gueuze, albeit not very good. Still, in the end, I got used to it and it was drinkable. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

3/V/13 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: VIII/2014 (2013-443)
Clear pale straw yellow beer, big aery fizzy white head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: bit dirty, lemon, lemonade, sweet, rotten fruit, bit chemical, dusty, soapy. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very sour, lemony, dirty sourness, sugary, hay, little bitter and grassy. Aftertaste: green apples, bitter, unpleasant sourness, hay, grains, artificial lemon flavour. Man, what the $*% is this? They know that most of their beers get sour through infection, so now they decided to just put lemon flavour in it from the start? I could not even finish half my glass, and that was only half of the bottle.

’t Graverhopke is slowly coming to grips that all of their beers are infected by putting a picture of a lemon on their new beer – at least they have a sense of humor and they have ceased trying to play them of as a) non-infected & b) intentionally sour. Bright golden with quickly gone white head. Lactic sour nose, spoiled yoghurt, strongly zesty, chemical citrus additives,… Sour lemon children vitamins, cheap lemon lemonade, zesty sourness, lactic, spoiled children medicine, lots of food lemon additives, clearly chemical,… Fading carb. The bottle doesn’t even list lemon as an ingredient nor chemicals, genius brewing…

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a big foamy white head. Slightly tart citrus-fruity, pale malty nose with mineralic notes and a mildly spicy Belgian yeast character. Mildly sweet and sour-tart flavour, rather light bodied with a moderately prickly carbonation. Yeasty, slim pale malty taste with notes of (more or less) freshly squeezed citrus-juice; citric sour-fruity and slightly tart finish. The alcohol of 6.0% is de facto not detectable. Somewhat refreshing but also quite dangerous summer drink. 7.I.13
