8/III/13 - 33cl bottle from Limburgs Bierfestival 2012 @ home - BB: 5/IX/13 (2013-221)

Little cloudy pale yellow to golden beer, big frothy white irregular head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: lots of coriander, orange peel, bit sugary, sweet. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: quite some citrus, lots of coriander, pretty bitter, orange peel. Aftertaste: lots of coriander, orange peel, pretty bitter.

33 cl. bottle @ Café Belga. Very cool looking 40’s bar on the inside. Not as terrible as the 3.9 % version, agreeable actually. Pale golden, crystal-clear, lasting white head. Lightly bitter straw, hay, grains & pale malts, reasonable esters, metallic, inoffensive with some medical alcohol coming through the back. Light, touch grains. Yeah,…

Had this at Cafe Matin, Brussels, Belgium 17.12.11 Pours lemony in colour with a large white head, looks every bit a lager. Its simple, its fine, touch sweet perhaps, bit run of the mill, but ok. A6 A3 T6 P2 Ov13 3.0

33cl bottle @ Café Belga, Ixelles. I guess a new gimmick beer for the trendy bars of the capital. Dorée avec léger trouble, col blanc épais. Arôme donne de suite ce profile familier de St Feuillien de par sa levure donnant une touche d’épice et de renfermé. Note légère de houblon citronné/fruité mais restant dans la lignée belge/allemande. En bouche, bière au profile sec, avec une carbonnation bien active et pétillante. Profile de houblon léger donnant une pointe d’amertume citronnée, note en retrait de grains mais restant neutre, levure rajoute une touche d’épice. Alcool est sympa. Pour le prix de 2€90, ça reste convenable et facile à boire.
