Cask at The Anglers Arms, Morpeth. Amber brown colour, thin white foam head and malty earthy aroma. Taste is malt, slight biscuit, nutty and light hop bitterness. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, earthy bitter finish. OK

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear amber, thick white head. Aromas are light vinegar, toffee. Taste has some yeasty funk. Maybe not well kept, but I can honestly say I preferred this in the bottle.

Appearance- amber, very clear, half finger persisting foamy white head which lasts pretty much throughout. Aroma- toffee and caramel, nutty, raisiny. Taste- smooth and malty, little bit creamy, medium mouthfeel, toffee hints, roast chestnut, caramel, slight fruit, some malt. Fruitcake and chewy toffee in the finish. Very nice.

cask@Pied Bull, Streatham (9/3/2014) - pours amber with medium white head. Aroma and taste is caramel malty, toffee, nutty, not as good as I remembered from years back but still decent enough for a easy to find bitter.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance -golden to amber with a nice head. Nose - apples and biscuits. Taste - creamy toffee with the sour apples finishing it off. Palate - nice integration of fruit and malt favours. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a well balanced bitter. Greater than the sum of its parts.
