Pours hazy amber with a small, foamy, white head, some sediment. The aroma contains fruits, straw, grass, hops and yeast. It tastes medium sweet, and medium to light bitter with a long, dry finish. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. A beer to my taste. (Edited 25/7/17)

33cl bottle: poured into the lovely ’Tripel Karmeliet’ stemmed tulip glass at home on 30th April 2014. Huge head that stayed, misty amber body below. The nose was yeasty with honey notes this gave the aroma a strange strange overall feel. The taste was also yeasty and again with honey traces to sweeten the flavour’ although a grassy, hop base kept the beer from becoming too sweet. I’m not a ’honey in beer’ person but this doesn’t throw the honey in your face like some and I thought it fine.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. No BBF. Cute label. Text on the label has a long story about the name which always makes me nervous, usually a way of selling a crappy beer in Belgium. The longer the story behind the name / beer, the less I expect from the actual beer. Bright slightly hazy golden, creamy disappearing slightly off-white head. Nose is slightly hoppy, fruity, orange peel with some candy sugar, touch sweetish peel. Taste is candy sugar, sweet wheat, some lemon, slight hops, sweet wheat, slight sweet apple juice, touch fake lemon & some wheat sourness in the back, slight bitter BE yeast. Carb. is a bit effervescent. Not bad, should try to check out more Gulden Spoor beers.

Aroma is a bit odd and light with some caramel and hints of bun dough. Flavour is somewhat spicy with some fruity notes, peppery spices, herbal tones and hints of bun dough. Spicy and weird.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Yeasty and mildly sugary malty aroma with hints of toasted malt, caramel, bread and subtle fruity accents. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Biscuity and delicately toasted malty and yeasty taste with notes of candy, caramel; sweet, mildly spicy (anise, fennel) and subtle fruity finish. 6.I.13

33cl bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color with yeast particles in it, full sized creamy white head that diminishes fairly quickly and leaves fair to good lacing. Smell malts, sweetness, sugar and lightly something unfresh. Taste malts, slightly leaves, some fruitpeel-bitterness and slightly herbs or spices. Medium carbonation, medium body, slightly sticky texture.
