THE stout tasting Pt1. Hazy light amber beer. Massive fluffy head that is a kinda cream - apricot colour! Light airy palate, semi dry. A little lactose. Pithy orange bitterness with a trace of grapefruit. Bitter cream soda! Dry finish with a lingering medium bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at The Stouts Tasting Part I, London as a palate cleanser - many thanks to Ken for this obscure offering. Pours cloudy gold with a big, white foam head. Sugary melon aroma, some honeydew. Big sweet flavor with citrusy bitterness, more melon, light orange, light grass. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Grassy bitter finish with some citrus rind and mellow alcohol. Very decent.

Bottle thanks to Ken. Lively! It pours cloudy golden with a massive off-white head. The nose is hay, citrus peel, peach, spice, panettone, candy and icing sugar. The taste is fruit salad.....sour orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple and banana as well hay, nice bitterness, pepper, wood and light floral with a dry finish. Medium body, high carbonation and spritzy mouth-feel. Good flavour and balance. Tasty.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, canned peach, moderate yeasty, leather, funky. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, tart, citrus, yeast, fruity, peppery, peach. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120914]
