In 2010 Carlsberg reached a deal with Mahou to brew and distribute the 5% San Miguel throughout Europe. Mahou retain the brewing rights to all other European San Miguel branded beers.

A World Cup Of Beers#29. SPAIN. An international brew with the football - at least with heritage from the Iberian peninsula for this clear pale golden coloured beer. It's a very hot day so it feels quite refreshing and palate-friendly despite it clearly being bland in taste. It perhaps doesn't quite feel the five percent on the bottle and is maltiest in aroma. I've kind of forced this one on myself given the Spanish are currently playing. Drank whilst watching the quarter-final Spain vs Belgium.

0.33 bottle. Pale golden color with no foam after pouring. No outstanding aroma or taste. Its best characteristic is that itโs drinkable - enough said.

Tap. Clear amber golden. Apple, old hay, grainy. Taste is not half as bad as I expected; oily creamy aftertaste, surprisingly full front, even a bit chewy and some crunch, decent bitterness. This is not bad, even drinkable.
