Do not open ‘til Christmas? Whoever coined that phrase obviously hasn’t tasted Christmas Ale’s fresh honey, cinnamon, and ginger flavors.

Bottle that was kindly passed on in a trade by the marvellous Miketd when we met in NYC in Nov 08, cheers me old china. Pours copper in colour with great clarity and an off white head. The aroma is a little sweet, malty, bit boozy. Cinnamon and allspice reveal themselves in the mouth there is also a slight metallic edge to this. Soft on the palate, easy drinking for its strength and whilst a nice beer it seemed to lack a certain something. Glad that I got to try this and once again big thumbs up to Mike. A6 A5 F6 P3 OV13 3.3

courtesy of Gillard. Pours orange, whie head. Aroma filled with spaces - cinnamon, nutmeg with a close to pumpkin nose. Taste, same as aroma, plenty of spices and light hops to make this one a good session beer and excellent season.

Nice beery aroma. Orange yellow appearance with a fading creamy head. Good creamy carbonation. Rather fruity and mild. Well behaved and pretty well mannered. Burping pine tree needles. Overall not bad for a Great Lakes brew.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Fruity and lightly spicy nose. Medium body with fairly sweet fruit, some spices - perhaps a hint of ginger? The finish is dry with some bitterness. Interesting. 290607

12 oz bottle. Yet another tasty one courtesy of crizay, thanks again. This beer poured a gold to copper color with white head. The aroma has some sweet malts and cinnamon. The flavor seems complex. I taste a couple malt variations, a bright cinnamon note, some sweet citrus and lighter notes of honey and ginger.

Pours a darkish amber with a nice thick head. Spicey aromas mix with a sweetness that dominates throughout. Taste is of apple, caramel, sugar and maybe ginger. Well balanced but it tastes/feels weaker than it actually is. Smooth mouthfeel and warmth as it goes down.
