Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

Bottled 355ml. -Shared with Marko. Cloudy orange golden coloured, small white head that went away fast, odd elder and glue nose. Sweet malty, wheaty and slight cardboard taste with notes of elder and some banana. Huge disappointment, expected much better beer.

355ml. Hazy orange body with a big, diminishing white head. Aroma is fresh citric fruity, banana, yeast and spicy. Flavor is light malty, ripe banana, citric fruity, ester, spicy and somehow light acidic. Light body, medium aftertaste. Nothing really extraordinary here, but I fin this one to be a nice, refreshing surprise. Quite decent hefeweisen actually.

Bottle at Patrick’s Irish Pub, Ljubljana.Poured a hazy orange-amber body with a small white head that went away slowly. Apple and glue in the slightly too sweet nose - not too thrilling. Sweet appley taste, slightly lactic, somewhat light and one dimensional but tasty in a way.

355 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Also available in some Norwegian grocery stores. Hazy pale golden colour, big white head. Typical hefeweizen aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. The flavour also has notes of ripe bananas and cloves, medium sweet, soft mouthfeel, very drinkable, low bitterness. A good hefeweizen - no more, no less.

Yellow beer with quite weak and white head. Aroma is fresh, wheat, yeast, some bananas and spicyness. Flavour is wheatish, yeast, only slightly sour, some lemon and quite dry. Smooth and nice to drink. Typical hefe -nuancees can be found, but it is not enough; quite good beer.

[9/26/10] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, bubblegum, banana and a bit of apple notes. Sweetish fruity flavor with some yeast, some bubblegum hints and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

12 oz.bottle.Pored into a Weizen glass. Slightly hazed golden liquid with a off white head that is gone before the first sip. little lacing. Aromas is faint undertones of bananas and cloves. Light, thin and spritzy in feel. A bit watery. The flavor isn’t going to get anyone real excited. Very average. This tastes more like a Wheat Ale rather then a true German Hefe. Still drinkable.

1/10/2010 - 355ml @ Klaas' place

drank 6 months before expiration date

Pours a cloudy orange beer, practically no head. Aroma: banana peal at first, after somewhat malty and caramel. MF is ok, medium body. Taste has banana peal again, yeast and some spices. Aftertaste has some citrus and spices. A good American interpretation of a Hefeweizen but clearly not the real deal.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow gold with a thick white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had some clove and banana with clear sweet wheat. Flavor was quite sweet with banana and wheat. Clove was just a slight backing note. A bit sweet for my liking.
