Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Hereford Beer House. Pours clear copper with a creamy, off-white head. Lightly sweet with some mellow berries, a little caramel, lightly toasted brown bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more caramel and brown bread, some dried berries. Tasty gear.

Bottle. Clear dark brown/red with a lovely beige head. Aroma of malts, nuts, caramel, bread, toffee, red fruits and raisins. Taste follows aroma plus some milk chocolate as well. It’s fruity, sweet and a little bit sour with hints of spice. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Light bodied and extremely very süffig. This a prime example of what I love in a Dunkel: High drinkability and yet enough nuances to keep it really interesting. Great (I‘d rate it even higher if the sweetness was a little bit toned down).

Bottle. Clear reddish brown color, beige head, fair persistence. Flavors of roasted malts, not too thick, more like on a Vienna way. Taste sweetish, on the cake side, juicy notes, hints of berries and coffee, light hops in the finish. Finish is relatively dry, juicy but not sticky. Unexpectedly light in flavor not earthy as others in the style, easy to drink.

0,5 l bottle. Clear darkest red brown in the glass, nearly three finger frothy beige head. Looks really good. Smells low malty. Taste starts also malty, toasted grain, little bit dry. Nice ´n´ easy drinkin´ dark stuff.

At the brewery. Clear brown red beer. Lovely nutty malty dunkel not heavy at all. Walnuts. Really good. Goes with the pork shank so well. Rather a satisfying beer without being too heavy

Bottle. Clear deep brown with a dense pale beige head. Rich sticky bread crust aroma with light herbal notes, slight cardboard. Medium bodied. Only a little sweet with a touch of dried fruit as well as sticky bread crust before balancing spiced bitterness. Not, bad, could be fresher.
