Cask at the Pembury Tavern, Hackney, during the February Festival 2011. Pours clear gold with no head really. Nice, crisp straw flavour, pale bread, faint honey. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Clean, dry finish, more bready malts, baked leaves, some faint lemon zest. Enjoyable beer.

Cask @ Salopian. Pours pale gold with a light mist, small foamy white head. Aroma has a light pale malt sweetness. Taste is a little buttery, moderately bitter, light citrus, some grassy moments. Found the buttery side a bit off-putting, generally though it's ok.

A lovely golden bitter. There were lots of bitter hops and an earthy farm yard flavour that nicely set the mouth on edge. It was a good colour and had a small, but long lasting head. A very English beer with the high bitterness and all the better for it.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds crackers and biscuits, some straw and lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with pleasant citrusy hop notes, some crunchy grains, dry pale bread, hints of melon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with mild grassy bitterness, more straw and lemon rind, pale biscuits. Enjoyable golde.
