A rich, full bodied best bitter in the traditional Kent style. Finest pale ale malt and crystal malt for colour and richness. Hopped with local Kent Northdown and Finchcocks’ Whitbread Golding Variety and finished in the Hop Rocket with Progress hops from Scotney Castle for a full flavour and aroma.

500ml bottle. Gluten Free. Amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and earthy malty aroma. Flavour is malty, caramel, bready, fruity with earthy bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle at home. This was a pretty standard bitter. Plenty of malt, bitter hops and a pleasant mouthfeel made this an acceptable pint. It's not one I would seek out again, but it was ok.

Swietny Bitter, tak metny jakby lopate piachu dosypac, niespotykane to w brytyjskich piwach. Piwa stoji niczym snieg zima na szcytach Himalajii. Piekna rosnie wnet jak ciasto drozdzowe w piekarniku. Kolor pomaranczowy, metny, zapach cytrusowy z dodatkiem chleba pszenno-zytniego. Kwaskowa nuta lekka towarzyszy po kazdym przelknietym lyku. Super.

Handpull cask from the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Light brown with a trace of terracotta. Small looseish ring of off-white head. Very little aroma. Some earthy, woody, vinous notes. The malty sweetness is overlaid with a tasty woody astringency. Medium body. It is a fairly average bitter, tasty enough but not one to go out of your way for.

500ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden amber, short-lived white head, quite high carbonation. Aromas of stewed tea, soapy lemon hops. Taste is astringent, bitter. Thin finish. Best of Kent?

Golden amber with very little head. Sweet aroma but more of a grainy malt in its subtle taste.
