Bottled@AIH66 Beer Session. (from Citymarket Rovaniemi). Amber colour, mediumsized foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, grassy, herbal and some slight "house aromas". Flavour is grassy, herbal, some bitterness and mild bitterness. Slightly more herbal than the normal Spitfire. A bit less bitter too.

500ml bottle into pint glass. Pours a clear golden bronze with a sudsy white head. Quintessential English aroma of malt and hops. Lightly carbonated. Zingy in the mouth, medium bodied. Taste and finish are typically subtle for an English ale. There’s a light citric bitterness followed by a little smoky malt. The sort of beer you could sit in a beer garden and drink all afternoon. Nice summer quaffer.

Bouteille 50cl, BB 10/2016.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden amber with no head. Aroma is veggies and grass. Light body and medium carbonation. Taste starts with some toffee malt balanced with some citrus tang. Some biscuity notes develop and then some reasonable bitterness appears. Quaffable but not exceptional.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden with next to no head. Inevitably slightly skunky in its aroma coming in a clear glass bottle. There’s a few hops available in a fairly easy-drinking texture.

Clear 500ml bottle opened during half-time as England played Wales at football in the Euro’s on 16th June 2016. Not overly impressed actually. As the name suggests, this is a golden beer, it was clean and clear to look at, white head on pouring. Too sweet, even for my sweet tooth, the hops doing very little: much prefer the normal Spitfire to this.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Pale amber with a thick white head; typical Shep aroma; biscuity malt taste with some jammy fruit (perhaps over pasteurised); then a light bitterness with some tropical fruit before a dry biscuity finish. Not bad for a £1.
