British rock legends Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt have worked with Hobsons Brewery to craft a traditional chestnut ale, named after the band’s 1971 album ‘Dog of Two Head'. Dog of Two Head is a chestnut amber traditional ale, with a modern citrus twist delivered by the British hops.
Brewed with British malting barley and a blend of UK-grown Fuggles, Challenger, Goldings and Progress hops.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. A pale amber colour with a loose cream head; aroma of orange fruit and some grassy hops; a fruity blood orange taste with a gentle leafy bitterness; then some caramel and orange peel to finish. Rather good.

500ml bottle at home on 4th Sep 2016: poured into a UK pint sleeve. A cream coloured head sat on top of a clear mahogany body. Malty lead in both the nose and flavour, hops coming second in the tasting stakes and nowhere in the aromas. Mild fruity notes appear mid-sip and stay towards a mini-bittering finish and aftertaste.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours clear amber, small foamy white head. Light malty, toffee aroma. Taste is thin, light malts, light toffee, standard unexciting bitter with literally nothing else of note to discuss.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is woody hop, light citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big hop bitter, light fruit palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
