A thick and juicy New England style India Pale Ale, featuring a smooth and hazy body from the use of Oats, Wheat and Rye in the mash bill. Hopped in whirlpool and dry hop with Citra, Simcoe and Vic Secret hops with additional Lemondrop added in dry hop. The hops give a tropical dank and fruity flavor with additional herbal and pine qualities. The beer was fermented with London Ale II yeast to enhance aroma and add a lightly sweet finish. Malts: Golden Promise, Flaked Oats, Wheat Malt, Rye Malt Hops: T90 Vic Secret, Simcoe, Lemondrop LupuLN2 Pellets Citra, Simcoe Yeast: WLP066

Small white head over hazy golden beer. Bananapeel, unripe banana, hints of liquorice and rosewater, not overly fruity, somewhat smoked. Bitter, insectoid, old cookies, rosewater, metallic. Some restsugars, orange(peel)flavours, certainly warming up. Light to medium bodied, but pretty slick; medium carbonation. Very slightly aged sample (matter of weeks), little oxydation but some sweetening. Thanks to Stef!

Can at home, 20/10/19. Lightly hazed orange golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, grass, toasted malts, melon. Taste comprises orange peel, grapefruit, toasted grains, melon, airy malts, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Ok straight up IPA.

Can. Hazy gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and a little soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft creamy malts. Hops bring good soft pine and the expected floral semi sweetness from Vic Secret. The most important aspect for me is the addition of the fucken elusive Lemondrop hops. What do they bring? Some lemon peel, some floral lemon. Touch of lemony bitterness. Lemon balm, very mild. Light finish. This hop continues to fascinate, as much due to it’s elusiveness as it is due to its fascinating flavours.

Hazy golden with a foamy white head. Sweet, zesty smell. Flavour follows suit. Soft sweet test but lively on the tongue and with a drier finish. Rather pleasant.

Can from Tesco and drunk at home. Hazy to cloudy gold colour lasting white head. Some tropical fruit. Not much dankness, some hoppy sherbet quality. Something odd with the yeast I think. Not my favourite. Some bitterness on the finish. It's ok but the Bootleggers NEIPA I had before was better. Just an odd flavour here somewhere.
