At Borefts 2023. Russet colour. Lasting beige head. Malty toffee beer. Still fresh. Sweet oranges some sourness. Some gin. It's weird a fruity barley wine. Really interesting. Sweet sour some age. A little dry. Wild.

Clear deep red amber beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, lots of marzipan, lots of almonds, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sourish start, weird enough, a little bitter, quite some almonds, fruity touch, a bit hoppy. Aftertaste: more marzipan, sugary, lots of alcohol, sugary, ok. Aftertaste: more marzipan, little bitter, sourish, a bit boozy, but good, lots of marzipan, nice one, I like it!

Süß-säuerlicher Beginn, cremig, boozy. Kirsche, viel Alkohol, nicht sonderlich süffig. Ok. 10/7/8/7//7

Aus der Flasche (bottled 05.02.2020/bbe 05.02.2025) im 2023-03 getrunken. Bei diesen Barley Wine aus ein Ginfass kann ich nicht finden was mich an Gin erinnert und das ist auch gut so, da ich Gin nicht mag. Dafür schlägt hier der Orgeade (Mandelsyrup) voll zu und das kräftige Mandelaroma paßt hervorragend zu diesen Bierstil. Wunderbar balanciert und echter Spaß im Glas dieses Ale.

Bottle at BBT 03/2022. Dark amber color with beige head. Aroma of roasted almonds, marzipan, rose water. Taste, almonds, rose water, light malt. Alcohol is dangerously hidden.

Bottle at BBT #3/2022. Amaretto aroma and taste, medium to high sweet, medium body, amaretto sweet finish. Ok.

Bottle at BBT 2/2022. Medium body, moderate warming alcohol, medium carbonation. Lots of dried fruits, raisins too. Medium sweetness, balanced by the warmth. Quite single-dimensional with really intense marzipan on top. Good, tasty, but really in small amounts. Dessert beer.
