A refreshing extra pale session ale, brewed using Sussex spring water, extra pale malts and an indecent amount of zesty, floral, oh so delicious hops. A great session beer you will find yourself drinking time and again.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 23 Nov 2016) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit and resin. Fruity, malty taste with tropical fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, resin and a balanced citric, resiny bitterness. Medium body, with a slight malt sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Cask at Plough and Harrow, Littington. A decent pale ale but aftertaste was overly bitter. Bit skunky (pub issue I believe). (Pre app rating). ---- Cask at the Berwick Inn, Berwick. I thought this was absolutely marvellous. It had strong apple in the aroma and the taste which although not producing a profound beer produced one that is refreshing, light and gluggable. 2.6 to 3.4.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Crown & Anchor, Brixton on 22nd Jan 2017 (as Extra Pale, no mention of ’Scaramanga’ that I saw, might have been on the Pump Clip, but not on the chalk board). Mini-haze to the light golden pour, full white head. Mild citrus leanings, a bit watery and thin: let’s call the flavours subtle and hard to find. I drank this pretty fast as it did not interest me one iota and there were other beers I wished to try before moving on to our next pub.

Can from Bridgend Service Station. Hazy pale golden body with a medium white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, custard cream biscuits and peach sherbet. Flavour of chalky lemon and sponge cake with a slight sour/bitter finish. Thin body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Simple and refreshing.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear gold with a bubbly, white head. Muddled citrus notes in the aroma, some rind, tangerine. Light sweet flavour with grassy and rindy bitterness, grainy pale malts, lemon peel, hay. Light bodied with fine, soft carbonation. Finishes with further grassy notes, more pale grains, melon, citrus peel. So so overall.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 28th August 2016. Hazy gold with thin off-white scantly lacing foam. Hoppy aroma with citrus peel and fine grapefruit. Zesty and fruity citrus in-mouth with tangerine, grapefruit and bitter orange peel. A fresh, fruity kick. A bitter, citrus and grassiness finish. Zingy mouthfeel and light body.

Tap @ Cask Pub and Kitchen, shared with beerhunter111. Hazy a bit pale yellow color, average sized white head. Aroma is lightly malts, quite fruity and hoppy. Taste lightly malts, hops, quite nicely fruity again and nice fruit hop bitter, bitter finish. Decent body, firm carbonation. Pretty nice though.

On tap at The Crown Hastings. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Very earthy. Ok though. Some dryness on the finish. Too fizzy.
