Tap @ Wildeman, next to the Pinot Noir Barrel Aged. Almost black. Malty, vinous, roast and laurel in the soft bretty, dusty aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast and laurel. Vinous, caramel, dried cherries. Massieve and complex. Dry finish with intense sourness towards the end.

Bottle. Color: Dark brown, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish and very slightly sour, caramel, red wine notes. Taste: Medium sweet, malt, caramel, dried dark red fruit, apple, bread. Clear Brett notes. Light hints of raisins and nuts, sweetish and sour red wine notes (Barbera, I presume), slightly boozy hints. Medium body, below average carbonation. Quite nice, complex and well balanced. I think it is interesting to know the story about it on https://www.marblebeers.com/prize-old-ale/ to fully understand and appreciate this beer.

On tap at In de Wildeman, CB'18. Black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of wood, actone, hint of leather, roast, berries. Flavour is medium sweet, molasses, dry, wood, acetone, hint of wine, light fruity, alcohol. Medium bodied. Less sweet than the Pinot Noir version. Again not convinced.
