This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

1 pt. 9 fl. oz. bottle.

AROMA: Scents of chocolate, caramel, and brown sugar.

APPEARANCE: Pours an opaque black with a medium tan head that dissipates slowly.

TASTE: Very sweet with flavors of sweet malt and milk chocolate.

PALATE: Full-bodied with a sticky texture and average carbonation. Finish has just a hint of vanilla on the tail end.

OVERALL: Nice flavor, but it definitely is on the sweet side. Almost too sweet. This is definitely a one-and-done beer. Meaning, you will happily drink the first one, but due to its sticky sweetness you will pass on having a second one anytime soon. Enjoy it one at a time and you will be happy.

Monthly bottle share at Chez Sophie: 22nd May 2017. Four way split. 500ml bottle: BBD 8th Mar 2018. One of my offerings. Ruby hue to the dark body, beige head that lasted. Sweet and malty brew, some dark fruits and malty molasses in both the nose and taste. Liked it.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, courtesy of Jeremy. Pours a deep reddish amber, small off white head. Lovely sweet aroma, some chocolate, dark fruits. Continues to taste, some sweet malts, nice and smooth.. wouldn’t necessarily class as a porter, perhaps more in the sweet Scotch ale / English strong Ale camp. Still, very nice.

Bottle at Grunewoche. Deep brown with a reddish hue. Aroma of chocolate malt. Good lacing on the class. Boozy malt, dry chocolate, very dry base, dark fruit chocolate finish. One of the better German porters.

50cl bottle from eDrink, Tallinn. Pours dark mahogany with a surprisingly pale head. Malty aroma with roasty notes, dark fruits, caramel and hints of chocolate. Better than expected from this brewery - fairly pleasant actually. Nothing too impressive, but quite drinkable.
